Our Story
I grew up all over Honduras, starting in El Progreso up north, then moving down to Sabanagrande in the south, and eventually landing in Tegucigalpa, the capital, where the rest of my childhood unfolded. I was raised by my grandparents, Santiago and Marcelina, two legends who filled my days with love, discipline, and the most unforgettable Honduran sayings you can imagine.
Back then, I didn’t realize how unique our way of talking truly was. It wasn’t until I grew up, started traveling, and met people from different countries that it hit me: we Hondurans have our own hilarious, warm, and downright iconic way of communicating. What I used to think were just everyday phrases turned out to be little pieces of culture that make us who we are.
I’m incredibly grateful for my family, my roots, and the vibrant Honduran humor that shaped me. The way we express ourselves makes life more interesting, funnier, and definitely more memorable. And as we say back home, “¡Ahí nos vidrios!”, which basically means “See ya later!” but with that unmistakable catracho twist.
